Phil Da Groove

Formerly member of the supafunkydiscorappingroovalicious dj's duo Da Groove Brothers that monthly spreads the groove all over Madrid and Guadalajara in Spain.

Phil started djing in 1989 inspired by megamix and turntablism pioneers such as Mike Platinas, Dimas Carbajo, Ben Liebrand, Cash Money or Chad Jackson. So Phil bought himself a couple of turntables and a real big old school mixer, spending nights cutting and scratching at home with Public Enemy, Run DMC, Eric B & Rakim, Chic or Kool and the Gang 45's. Since then he became a black music obssesed always looking for new feel good jams: golden era rap, 70's and 80's funk, disco, boogie, reggae... spinning in some Madrid and Castellón clubs from time to time.

At the end of 2014 he joined forces with Dj Lexmerk (spanish DMC Champion) and since then they have played in Imagina Funk Festival 2015 and Electro Sound Festival 2015 and several clubs.
