So Oishi

So Oishi (NOS / DCT/ Søvn, Tokyo JP)

So Oishi is a Dutch-based electronic music composer, DJ, and audio
software developer from Tokyo, Japan. He started his musical career as
a DJ while he lived in the United States, inspired by the underground
techno scene in New York City.

In 2012, he moved to the Netherlands to develop his career as a
electronic music composer and he has completed masters degree at the
Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He
currently works on techno, minimal, electronica, ambient, and
experimental music both as a composer and a performer.

His music features continuously changing sound color made with the
synthesis software developed by himself, combined with layers of
percussive rhythms, field recording materials, and dub effects.

In 2015, he released his debut EP from Søvn Records under his alias
canopy hoc. His recent works include composition for Japanese film and
theatrical performances.

He has also started a new project called NOS with Nori (posivision)
and currently preparing for new releases.
