Koldun

DJ Koldun started his music career as a MC and organizer from '94-'97,
he organized and performed at hip hop concerts, as a member of hip hop bands "Pyramid Clan" and later "Outside Russians".
The last band split in ’96 and Koldun became a DJ, learning fast and after just 1 year, started to gig regularly in Latvia, Lithhuania, Germany and Russia.
After a transmission period he started again in '98 to organize, but this time events and big cultural art festivals,
Koldun showcased live musicians and m.c's, the biggest artist that time he collaborated with was MC Sugar B.
1998-'99 Koldun was an International DJ spinnin’ Riga, St. Petersburg, Vilnius, Kaunas, Berlin and Rostock.
In 2000 he relocated to Amsterdam since then he performed at Melkweg, Paradiso, Sugarfactory, Bitterzoet, Cub More, Pakhuis Wilhelmina, Panama, Overtoom 301, Winston Kingdom and Ms. Stubnitz.
2001 til present Koldun is currently organizing "Lionstyle" jungle/ragga/dn’b/dubstep party. 2002-'06 Host of Dj Koldun's "Dope Selecta" on Amsterdam's Radio Patapoe.
2004 Koldun became resident dj for Namaste.
He has played many festivals including Robodock 2001, '02, '03, 04, 07, Dance Valley 10 Years anniversary, Digital Overdose, B-oost Festival where he supported "London Electricity" and DJ Nu Tone 2006. 2003-'05 Organized "Back to Zion” reggae/ragga/dancehall. 2005-'11 Currently organizing "Funky Junkie" jazz/funk/hip hop/bossanova/acid jazz/drum n'bass/breakbeat party.
2008 Support DJ for Steel Pulse at Melkweg A'dam. 2009 he create a live band "Funkalized" (jazz, funk) 2010/11 NYE performed with his band Funkalized at 'Dazzleville' NDSM Festival.
Dj Koldun has performed on stage with Aphrodite, Adam F, Mc Sugar B, Doc Scott, Mickey Finn, Grooverider, Bryan Gee, NIcky Blackmarket, Nu Tone, London Electricity, Steel Pulse, Easy Rollers, Jazzsteppa, Digital, Rennie Pilgrem, Probe, Mungo's hi-fi, Kenny Knots, Mc Soom T, General Trix, Jimi Needles, JFB and many more!
