My name is frank capone, I am 39 years old and a DJ now for 20 years. Throughout the years I played in numerous clubs all over Holland like Zuid-As Pallet Club W2 Effenaar 013 Toonzaal Nighttown Jaarbeurs Utrecht Soul mate Boortoren Kings Cross Stalker, t Blauwe Theehuis, Cordes, Carrera, Vrieshuis Amerika, Kashmir Lounge, #4, Verkadefabriek and Playground as well as many smaller clubs.
Ive also played several times in England (London & Cornwall) and in Belgium (Cafe D Anvers and Boccacio). In the latest fifteen years I did many parties, where I played with lots of DJs like Aardvarck (Red Nose Distrikt), 4 Hero (Talkin Loud), Joost van Bellen (Roxy), 100% Isis, Marcello (Chemistry), Romeo (New York), Sonar Lodge, Jorgensen & Rob (Soulmate), Barth Hendrikx (Extrema), KC The Funkaholic (Kindred Spirits), Clyde, Derrick May (Transmat USA), Retrospace, Relaxo Abstracto, Yves (La Rocca), David- & Sandor Caron (Mo’Wax, Music 4 Speakers), Cinnaman (Rush Hour), Kid Fonk, Blaze, Michel de Heij, Jeroen Verheij (Secret Cinema), Kenneth (BE), Per (Earth), Marnix (Rush), Funkerman, Max 404 (Eskimo Recordings, Bass Galore), Robob (De Rechter), DJ Stretch (UK), Gary Hirst (UK) and many more.
I also DJ on shows (Lounge, Soul & Deep House) for different companies like; Nike Vision, DKNY Eyewear & Calvin Klein Eyewear - Spring Collection 2004. Luxottica (Versus, D&G, Prada Summer Collection 2005) Besides being a DJ, I also help my friends who are running their own store and record label Antal & All Out K (RusHHour Amsterdam)
and Aardvarck (Music For Speakers).
Im also involved and resident DJ with DJ Frenc T in an organisation called Day By Day We organise our own parties called Smooth Sundays (mixing meals with music) and Deep Saturdays (dance nights with the finest House Music)
Ive also been a couple of times to New York City to promote my friends record label. and my contact there is DJ True who is the resident DJ and co-founder of the brilliant Neo-Brasilian fusion party Alma-NYC and who has his own radio show called Deeper Than Disco on NYC s #1 radio station The Voice Of Harlem, his personal friends are Ron Trent & Anthony Nicholson (Clairaudience and Prescription Records). He also introduced me to Francois Kevorkian (Wave Music, Deep Space), Danny Krivit (Body & Soul) and to Michael (Staff Prelude Records, Staff Paradise Garage) and got me on the guest list by my all-time favourite DJ Frankie Knuckles at club DEEP NYC.
I am also proud to say that Ive met all of my Heroes in the music business like Carl Craig (Planet E - Detroit USA), Kenny Dixon Jr. AKA Moody Mann (KDJ Records, Peacefrog), Roni Size, DJ Krust & DJ Die (Reprazent, Reinforced), Recloose, K-Hand (Acacia Records) and Larry Heard (Fingers Inc.).
The style that I play is that True-, Black-, and Deepest Underground Feel with lots of Soul, Funk , Disco, House and Rare Grooves in it.
